Hours of Operation

Service operates hourly. Time points indicate minutes after each hour that a bus will depart that location during normal operating hours:

  • Monday - Friday, 5:54 AM - 7:55 PM
  • Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays, 9:54 AM - 7:55 PM

Available Routes

City Route 101 - Jacksonville Transit Logo Opens in new windowPurple

(Purple) operates from downtown to Walmart on Western Boulevard via Onslow Drive, Henderson Drive, Western Boulevard, and McDaniel Drive. The City 101 Route also stops downtown across form the Freedom Fountain on New Bridge Street to connect with Amtrak. End to end travel time is 36 to 40 minutes depending on direction. City Route 102 - Green

(Green) operates from Walmart to Piney Green Shopping Center. This leg requires 41 to 45 minutes in travel time.

City Route 103 - Orange

New Transit Bus Opens in new window(Orange) operates from Walmart on Yopp Road through downtown to the Jacksonville Mall via Hargett Street and Country Club Road. The City 103 Route also stops downtown across from the Freedom Fountain on New Bridge Street to connect with Amtrak. Service runs every half hour.

On the weekends and holidays Jacksonville Transit runs an Express Route that accesses Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, Camp Johnson, and Marine Corps Air Station New River. Hours of Operation Vary.

Gold Express Route Notice: Effective June 14, 2019, Jacksonville Transit eliminated the Gold Express Route due to a lack of ridership. The Scarlet Express Route continues to operate and has adjusted to include Camp Johnson. The Scarlet Express Route will no longer operate past 10PM on service days. Questions or concerns? Reduced Fare Riders

A Reduced Fare ID will be required each time you ride. Reduced Fare Applications (PDF) are available online; at City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street; and at Onslow United Transit System (OUTS), 605 New Bridge Street.

Passengers with Disabilities

For passengers with disabilities that are not able to ride our daily routes, Jacksonville Transit also provides curb-to-curb ADA accessible transportation services. More information about these services and associated eligibility requirements may be obtained by contacting calling 910 938-RIDE (7433).
